The Regional Flood and Coastal Committee (RFCC) is a committee established by the Environment Agency under the Flood and Water Management Act 2010 that brings together members appointed by Lead Local Flood Authorities and independent members with relevant experience.
The Environment Agency must consult with RFCCs about flood and coastal risk management work in their region and take their comments into consideration. The Committee exercises general supervision over all matters relating to flood defence and land drainage. It prepares an annual programme of capital works and maintenance and submits schemes to the Government for approval.
