The JTC’s Audit Committee will consider the effectiveness of the JTC’s risk management arrangements and ensure that appropriate action is taken on risk related issues within the JTC. The Committee will also review the effectiveness of the JTC’s system of internal control on an annual basis.

The JTC must appoint at least 1 Member of each of the Constituent Authorities of the Combined Authority and the North East Combined Authority.

The Members of the Committee taken as a whole should reflect, so far as reasonably practicable, the balance of political parties for the time being prevailing among the Members of the Constituent Authorities of the Combined Authority and the North East Combined Authority when taken together.
