Neat Streets Project A report to provide members with information on the authority’s approach to Estate management. Minutes: The Head of Environment and Safer Neighbourhoods gave a report to members with information on the authority’s approach to Estate management.
Members queried whether they could be kept informed about which estates were due to be cleaned, and officers agreed that this info could be shared.
A question was asked about grasscutting and some of the newer machines on the market, and their improved capabilities. Officers replied that they kept up to date with advances and would attempt to get the best machines for the jobs when time came to replace machines in the fleet.
It was conformed that there were a number of streams for waste recycling, and the Authority placed a priority on recycling, reuse and upcycling. This message was being given extra weight by the Authority in terms of educating children and working with schools.
Officers explained that individual casework queries were best dealt with either direct through officers or the CFO team. |

Work Programme 2023-24 To consider the priorities for inclusion in the Sub-committee’s work programme 2024-25. Additional documents:
Minutes: A discussion took place regarding the current iteration of the Work Programme 2024 -2025.
The chair confirmed that this programme will always be member led and suggestions were always welcome.
A suggestion was made that the committee investigate Anti-Social Behaviour, and it was suggested that the Secure Sub-Committee would be a more suitable home for this item.
Biodiversity was mentioned as a potential discussion point and what the Authority and Planning are doing in terms of ensuring that developers are doing their part. This suggestion was added to the Work Programme.
