Standards Committee 2023-24 Work Programme pdf icon PDF 76 KB

To consider a report on the Action Plan/Work Programme of the Standards Committee for 2023/24.

Minutes:

The Committee considered the report which set out a suggested Action Plan/Work Programme for the Committee for 2023-24.

The Committee was advised that there are plans to establish regular meetings of the three Independent Persons, together with the Monitoring Officer, to develop working relationships, and to discuss case law and other guidance and ensure best practice is being followed.

It was also noted that the Monitoring Officer is organising training for all members on the use of social media.  This training is being commissioned from an external training provider and will be delivered in two face-to-face training sessions.  It was noted that the training is likely to be recorded so that it can be made available to any members who are unable to attend.

Resolved:  that the schedule of meetings for 2023/24 be noted and the work programme for the Standards Committee set out in the report be adopted.
