Minutes: The Sub-committee met to consider an application for the review of a Premises Licence in respect of The Plough, Inn, Killingworth Village.
The applicant, Residents First Killingworth requested a review of the premises licence following incidents they had experienced over a period of time they believed to be as a result of patrons of The Plough Inn.
Following introductions the Sub-committee’s legal advisor outlined the procedure to be followed at the hearing.
Mrs Graham, Licensing Officer, presented details of the application, the representations received and the options available to the Sub-committee.
Mr A Smith and Mr P Davison set out details of the reasons for their applications responded to questions from Members of the Sub-committee.
Mr J Smith, Solicitor, representing The Premises Licence Holder, addressed the Sub-committee in response to the application for the review responded to questions from Members of the Sub-committee, Mr Smith and Mr Emmerson.
Each of the parties to the hearing were given the opportunity of summing up their respective cases and the Sub-committee retired to make its decision in private.
All parties were invited to return to the meeting and the Chair announced the Sub-committee’s decision.
Resolved that with regards to the application for the review of the Premises Licence of The Plough Inn the Committee agreed that there should be modifications to the conditions on the licence as follows:
